We anticipate a great turnout with a superior technical program and wonderful events to educate as well as entertain our registrants. The week will start with local tours at several of the more than 20 marine-related facilities that form the Monterey Bay Crescent Research Consortium; world class golf; kayak tours with sea otters; and other activities where you can experience the natural outdoor splendor of our local area.
The program kicks-off with workshops and tutorials then moves on to the core technical program over several days. Sessions will be held in the Monterey Marriott and the Portola Plaza Hotels. Join your peers for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at any number of top-level establishments, which are all minutes from the hotels. Several other special events are also being planned. These include tastes of the food and wine that the Monterey area is famous for.
The week will also include exhibits of the latest in ocean technology. On the culminating evening of the conference, find yourself strolling between the local flora and fauna at our Gala Dinner being held at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Special room rates are available for the conference and extend over the weekend prior and afterwards for those who would like to enjoy Monterey further. Giant sequoia redwoods, art galleries of all kinds, beautiful vistas and endless activities are all just a short drive away from downtown Monterey.
